Oats Quinoa Waffle

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Uncooked quinoa
  • 1 cup Rolled oats certified gluten free
  • 1/2 tsp Aluminium free baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Freshly grounded flax seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 250 ml Unsweetened almond milk or any plant based milk of your choice
  • 50 ml Maple syrup
Instructions
  1. Combine the quinoa and oats in a blender. Blend the mixture to a fine consistency (like flour).
  2. Add in the baking soda, cinnamon, flax seeds powder, salt, maple syrup, and almond milk, then blend until combined (in between stop the blender and scrape down the sides to ensure it's evenly incorporated).
  3. Spread 1 tsp of desi ghee / coconut oil to waffle iron tawa. Pour the batter into that.
  4. Cook waffles for 5 minutes until golden brown. Top as desired with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, coconut whipped cream or simply pour on the maple syrup.
  5. Serve immediately.
